Senior Integration Architect – Banking

We are looking for a Senior Integration Architect to join a long-term project within a leading company in the banking and financial services sector.
The role is responsible for defining integration architectures and guidelines across cloud and on-premise environments, establishing reference architectures, API governance, integration patterns, and the technologies required to support reliable communication between applications and external systems.

Responsibilities
- Define reference architectures and integration guidelines for cloud and on-premise environments.
- Define integration architectures in collaboration with other domain architects.
- Establish and govern the organization's APIs and services.
- Define API types and the tools required throughout their lifecycle, from definition and implementation to production, support, and monitoring.
- Evaluate and define the appropriate integration technologies for each use case, including API Gateway, queues, streaming, REST/Web Services, and middleware.
- Establish communication protocols and reliable integration patterns between cloud and on-premise environments.
- Define patterns that guarantee reliable information delivery between applications, including in failure scenarios.
- Establish guidelines and tools for interactions with third parties and external systems.
- Evaluate and select enterprise integration tools and solutions for B2B and B2C scenarios.
- Promote best practices and the reuse of published services.
- Support project teams by establishing architecture guidelines and ensuring their compliance.
- Work closely with technology areas on integration-related topics.
- Collaborate with external providers to analyze proposed solutions and ensure alignment with the area's roadmap.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience as a Senior Integration Architect and/or Solutions Architect.
- Strong experience working within the financial services or insurance sector.
- Experience defining integration architectures and reference architectures.
- Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns.
- Experience with API governance and API lifecycle management.
- Experience with integration technologies such as API Gateway, queues, streaming, REST/Web Services, and middleware.
- Experience working across cloud and on-premise environments.
- Strong understanding of reliable communication and integration patterns.
- Experience working with technical teams, project teams, technology areas, and external providers.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong negotiation and technological problem-solving skills.
